Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version of how VIP Pet handles your information. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: your pet's information belongs to you, we use it to run the service you signed up for, and we don't sell it to anyone.

What we collect

• Your account: email address, name, and phone number (so providers you book can reach you).
• Your pets: the profiles you build — names, breed, age, health notes, routines, photos, and the records you upload.
• Bookings and searches: care requests you make, providers you save, and the area and category you search (like "grooming near 32233").
• Kasia conversations: the questions and photos you send our AI concierge, so she can answer and you can revisit past conversations.
• Usage and source: which features get used, and which ad or video brought you to us, so we know what's working.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe — we never see or store it. We keep only what Stripe tells us: your subscription status and the last digits of your card.

How Kasia (our AI) works with your data

Kasia runs on Anthropic's Claude API. When you ask her something, your question and your pet's profile context are sent to generate the answer. Our AI providers process this data to provide the service — they don't use it to train their models.

Who we share with

We don't sell your data, and we don't run ad networks. We share only what's needed to operate:

• Providers you book: they see your name, phone, and the pet details you choose to share for the appointment.
• Service partners: Stripe (payments), Render (hosting), Resend (email), Anthropic (AI), and Google/Yelp (provider search). Search queries include your search area — never your name or contact info.

Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed with a modern algorithm (we couldn't read them if we wanted to). Data lives on access-controlled infrastructure with daily off-site backups.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account yourself, any time, from the Membership screen in the app. That removes your profile, pets, records, and bookings. Backup copies age out on a rolling schedule afterward.

Children

VIP Pet is for adults and isn't directed to children under 13.
